About the Event
Italian pianist Simone Alessandro Tavoni has performed in many prestigious venues across the United States, United Kingdom, Denmark, Hungary, France, Spain, Malta, Estonia, Greece, and Italy. A winner of the BBC Pathway Scheme at the Royal College of Music, he performed with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, with several of these performances broadcast by BBC Radio 3.
In 2019, Simone was selected as a Parklane Group Artist, made his debut at Steinway Hall in London as an artist of the Keyboard Charitable Trust, and was awarded a full scholarship to attend the prestigious Aspen Music Festival under the mentorship of Maestro Fabio Bidini.
Among the most notable venues where he has performed are Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, the Victoria & Albert Museum, Regent Hall, and St. James’ Piccadilly in London; Salon Christophori in Berlin; Liszt’s House in Budapest; the Philharmonic Hall and Glenn Castle in Tallinn; Haus Musik in Aarhus; the En Blanc et Noir International Piano Festival in Lagrasse, France; and the Aegean International Festival in Heraklion, Greece.
Simone graduated at the age of 18 from the Giacomo Puccini Conservatory in La Spezia under the guidance of Maestro Marco Podestà. He then completed his advanced studies in piano and composition in Florence with Rosario Mirigliano and Giuseppe Fricelli, graduating with highest honors and distinction.
He later specialized at the Liszt Academy in Budapest with Professors Kecskes Balazs and Rita Wagner, at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart with Peter Nagy, at the Royal College of Music in London with Andrew Ball, and finally at the Trinity Laban Conservatoire under Deniz Arman Gelenbe.
Simone is a Trustee of the esteemed Kensington and Chelsea Music Society, and the founder and artistic director of the newly established Paisajes Piano Festival de Sierra de Gata in Extremadura, Spain. He is also supported by Talent Unlimited Organization in London and is generously assisted by Prince Donatus von Hohenzollern.
