Panthea Quartet

Named after Oscar Wilde's poem "Panthea" — a meditation on the unity of joy and sorrow, nature and spirit, the fleeting and the eternal — the Panthea Quartet was formed in 2026 by four young musicians who believe chamber music speaks with that same all-encompassing voice.

The ensemble, comprising Abbie McDonagh and Anna Mitchell (violins), Giammaria Tesei (viola), and Yseult Cooper-Stockdale (cello), seeks to illuminate both familiar and underheard corners of the string quartet repertoire. Since gathering in Dublin during the summer, the quartet has devoted itself to intensive rehearsals, shaping a shared sound rooted in trust, listening, and curiosity - sparking something just beginning.
